DRIVING CREDENTIALS
Renters must present a  valid driver’s license issued from  a minimum time depending on local regulations. Driving licenses  written in a foreign language using different  alphabetic  characters must be presented  together with an international driving license.
Driving licenses must be presented at any rental and the renter may be required a second form of personal identification.

INTERNATIONAL  DRIVING LICENSE
A valid driver’s license is generally accepted in most countries. Nevertheless, some countries do not accept driving licenses written in a foreign language using different alphabetic characters.
The international driving license is written in 10 languages and it is an official translation of the driver’s license.

METHODS OF  PAYMENT
Major credit cards are accepted : American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, Visa – except for Visa Electron. One credit card is required when renting vehicles of groups A/B/C/D/E/F/J/H  and  vans. As for vehicles of groups L/X and Prestige, the rental company will require two different credit cards or a Gold/Platinum/Black  card.

DEPOSITS
At the time of a rental Alfa Service will make a quote for the rental and will require a credit card hold of total estimated charges considering the following terms:

The total estimated amount will not be charged  on the renter’s credit card but only hold until the actual cost of the rental is charged.

CASH PAYMENT
It is possible to rent some vehicles and vans paying cash only at some Alfa Service locations. Ask your selected location for further information.

TAXES
Vat 20% (unless otherwise specified).

FUEL
Fuel  is at the renter’s expense.  If you return the vehicle less than full you will pay a service charge of € 12+vat and the cost of the fuel  used.

AGE RESTRICTIONS
The renter is  to be at least 23 years of age. No vehicles will be rented to drivers whose driving license has been issued for less than one year  and to drivers under the age of 21.
An additional surcharge will be applied for drivers 21-23 years old. Nevertheless they will  not be allowed to rent cars of groups J/H/L  and Prestige.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER
Paying an extra charge  an additional driver will be allowed to drive the rented car. The cost is :
€45 total for a 6/7 day rental;
€ 85 total for a monthly rental.

ONE-WAY RENTAL
Vehicles can be returned in another city or location under the payment of a charge depending on the pick -up site. As for vans, the  charge is € 1,50 (vat incl.) per kilometer considering the distance between the pick-up office and the location of return. Vans and cars cannot be returned in Sardinia or elsewhere than Italy.

OPTIONAL COVERAGE AND FRANCHISES
For further details and costs of optional coverage insurance (reduction of franchise, optional protection) ask any Alfa Service location for the “Safe Rental” optional coverage insurance.

PICK-UP AND RETURN SERVICES
Pick up a vehicle and return it in another location is possible paying a surcharge depending on the pick-up site. One-way rentals of vans are subjected to availability of the selected location. For further details on quotes and pick-up and return locations  please contact your selected Alfa Service location.

PICK UP  AND RETURN AFTER BUSINESS HOURS
This option  is available in most airports paying a surcharge. Requests must be made in advance to the selected pick-up location.

CAR REPLACEMENT
Alfa Service can refuse to replace a vehicle in case of theft, fire and serious damage to the rented vehicle.

RENTAL EXTENSION
If the renter decides to return a vehicle later than agreed the location must be promptly informed in order to extend the insurance life.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
A breakdown service is available 24 hours a day: in case of need call the free numbers you will find inside the key case of the rented car.

TOTAL  COVERAGE AGAINST DAMAGE
Ask for our optional coverage to drive safely: SKO (to protect you against damage claims), STP (in case of theft). With this optional coverage  you have no responsibility in case the car is damaged.
